Simplifying Discounts
Design sprint to re-think the construct behind offers, cashbacks, and discounts for a Fortune 5 E-commerce company’s India audience.

The Brief
Understand the problems with the current discounting constructs and come-up with a strategy to simplify them. These discounting constructs enable customers to buy products a price lower than the listed one through discounts, cashbacks and offers.
My Role
I led this sprint, mentoring a team of three designers and one researcher over five weeks. I trained the team in running sprints effectively and guided them through the entire process—from research and ideation to final sprint deliverables.
The Process
We did extensive market research and competitor benchmarking as part of prep for the 5 day workshop along with a designated set of activities for each day that drive participants towards design thinking. Each day of the sprint focused on different activities that followed the double-diamond framework.
Impact
Ideas that emerged from this sprint are now live experiences being used by millions of users to make better decisions and avail maximum benefits from discounting programs.
Note: This project is bound by an NDA, feel free to reach out to know more about my sprint process.
